NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

You are summoned to attend the Quarterly Meeting of the County Council.  This meeting is being held in the Council Chamber, County Hall, Northallerton on Wednesday, 22 February 2023at 10.30 am, at which the following business will be transacted.

In view of the large number of items on the agenda for consideration at the Quarterly Meeting, the Chairman will review progress being made and may propose adjourning the meeting until 24 February 2023 if in his view it is likely that the business on the agenda cannot be reasonably completed on 22 February 2023.

The meeting of the County Council is being held as an in-person meeting and in public. In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, current government guidance will be observed on ‘Living with COVID-19’. The Council Chamber will be well ventilated.  Please try to stay at home if you are unwell, take a test if you have COVID-19 symptoms, and stay at home and avoid contact with other people if you test positive.

Notices of Motion Notice of Motion regarding the new Constitution for North Yorkshire Council “The proposed constitution contains clauses which markedly limit the time allowed for questions and statements by members in Council meetings to both the Leader and to members of the Executive. · Clause10.2 paragraph (c) in the section entitled COUNCIL PROCEDURE RULES, refers to questions and statements to the Leader and limits them to a total of 10minutes. · Clause 10.3 paragraph (d) in the same section, similarly limits questions and statements to Executive member to a total of 5 minutes.
